The last two PDC courses of this series, run in spring 2019, were in Greece on the island of Lesbos. It was held at the premises of the One Happy Family NGO, and sponsored by Low Tech Lab.
From the beginning, Low Tech Lab (LTL) was enthusiastic about hosting the course. They had prepared their budget the previous November and had carefully chosen applicants for the course from a range of applications. Pre-selection of applicants is rare and proved to be very good for class outcomes. Initially LTL had expected that no one would attend because the refugees were only interested in income, however, when we arrived the class was full and there was a waiting list for a second course. More put their names down as word about the course spread around the camps.
